William Mellor

Foreign correspondent, writer and consultant

William Mellor is one of Asia Pacific’s most distinguished foreign correspondents. As a writer and editor for Bloomberg News, Time Magazine and specialist Asia-focused publications, he has spent 30 years covering business, finance and politics from bases in Hong Kong, Beijing, Bangkok and Sydney. During that time, he has interviewed Presidents, Prime Ministers and many of the region’s most influential business leaders.

Before first being posted to Asia in 1986, William was a London-based correspondent covering Europe for Australia’s Fairfax Media Group. He now divides his time between Hong Kong and Sydney, where he works as an independent writer, consulting producer for a leading U.S. documentary film maker, and media relations adviser.
